It will depend on the size of your home, the amount of stuff you have, how fast you make decisions. After the in-home consultation we will be able to tell you approximately the timeframe.
Here is a very rough estimate, based on previous clients:
Master closet: 12-16 hours
Kitchen & Pantry: 16 hours
Office (including filling system): 6-24 hours, depending on the amount of paper
Garage/Basement: 12-16 hours
Bathroom: 2-6 hours
Playroom: 6-8 hours
Mudroom: 6 hours
No, you don’t need to be home! Many projects are completed while clients are away, and we’ll communicate with you as needed. For decluttering, we’ll leave homework or send photos for feedback since we never remove items without your permission.
You will walk us through your home and talk about the areas that overwhelm you. We will discuss the possible solutions and ideas, give you an estimate on how long it will take to organize, advise on the organizing package that will be best for you and measure your space to prepare for the first session. The consultation will last up to an hour.
The final cost will vary by project. It may be lower if we use what you have or opt for budget-friendly options, and higher if starting fresh or choosing premium supplies. We’ll always provide a visual with cost estimates and optional items to adjust the budget before purchasing.
We expect it to look really, really bad, otherwise, you wouldn’t call us, would you? You won’t see any judgment from us.
We’ll always encourage letting go of items that don’t serve you or your space, but we will never pressure you. Organizing is about creating a space that feels right for you. Even in a fuller space, we can design functional systems that also look great.
